VITA
 
Presently a Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Communication Dept. at Austin Peay State University and a Professor Emeritus, following twenty-one years of teaching at Eastern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and Wabash Valley College, Dr. Parcells is a communication educator whose teaching focuses on graduate and undergraduate courses in corporate communication, broadcast media, public and media relations, marketing communication, computer mediated communication., and Internet technology.
 
He's supervised internships and practicums, advised a campus radio station, and managed 50,000 watt educational, noncommercial radio station. Parcells established and operated an educational computer laboratory and complete Internet service operation for an academic department as well as owning and operating commercial Internet services.
 
His entrepreneurial ventures have included a versatile business track record for management in overseeing the communication development for corporations, nonprofit agencies, and academic institutions. He's a veteran broadcaster managing both commercial and noncommercial radio stations over a 15 year period. Dr. Parcells offers versatile media writing experience in composing news releases, commercial copy, and even a weekly newspaper column.
